Beauty Basic | Night Time Skincare Routine

This is the most basic steps I normally do every single night -- remove my makeup, cleanse, tone and moisturize. My skin type is oily to combination, sensitive and acne prone. Yes, I do have problems in hyper pigmentation because my acne scars just won't go away. *sniff sniff*

I wear makeup pretty much everyday, so I've to make sure that I cleanse my face thoroughly every single night. In some lazy days and when my baby boy won't let me even wash my face, I'd just grab my facial wipes and I'm done. But in most days, I'm using these products which I've been loving lately. *wink*

My nightly must-haves

-- Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes - how come I didn't know long before that this one's existed? I've been using Biore's Cleansing Oil Facial Sheets for years and I love it, but when I saw this in a local drugstore and give it a try.. and oh my goat! This towelettes are sooo amazing! It's just perfect for end-of-the-day cleansing and removes my makeup easily. It's not harsh at all, very soothing and doesn't irritate my skin. This is even cheaper than the Biore ones too! That's why in times when I can't even wash my face at night, I would find myself reaching out to this one. 

-- Clarisonic Mia 2 - I've read one article that says, once you hit the big three-O (i know, i know..) you gotta move away from acid-based products to slough off dead skin and try sonic cleansing systems instead. So, I guess this one's my biggest (most expensive, yet worth it) investment I bought and added to my skincare routine. And yeah, I've waited for that Sephora 20% off storewide discount and finally purchased one (special thanks to my hub for being very supportive. haha) This is great for deep cleansing, I've noticed a big improvement on my skin texture ever since I used this which really makes me happy because it is so worth it! Thank you, Clarisonic! *kisses*

-- Philosophy's Purity Made Simple - I can't think of any cleanser best suits my Clarisonic but this! How can I not love the packaging? Every time I wash my face and just have a good look at this cleanser, I feel like my spirit was cleansed too! (seriously) That encouraging, uplifting words in the packaging, wow! It's very gentle, keeps my skin feeling fresh, clean and bright. Just wow! 

-- Mario Badescu's Special Cucumber Lotion - This is one of my recent purchase from Luxola and I'm loving it so far. It doesn't break me out and in fact, I noticed that it actually heals some blemishes and redness on my skin. It does controls the oil as it claims too, non-drying, gentle and removes any traces of makeup. Awesome!

-- Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel - My favourite moisturiser ever! I used to have this in a smaller tube and keep repurchasing it because its like the only moisturiser I know all my life. haha. Then, hubby bought the regular size for me and I'm just so happy. *grin* This one's just right for my oily to combination skin. I never felt any greasiness at all. It makes my skin feeling soft and smooth the next morning. Love!

Mini Makeup Mess

Tiny little makeup goodness! Aren't they so pretty? 

I was reorganising my makeup storage earlier and just can't get enough of these little bunch right here. 

I guess these little ones deserve a space in my blog too, right?

C'mon lovelies, let's admit it -- when you go makeup shopping, how many times would you ask the Sephora counter if they have samples for you? You just can't wait for holiday, because its holiday makeup sets digging  time! Oh, that email that Sephora just sent you, spent a few and you'll receive a complimentary deluxe/sample size of this new released or limited edition makeup product and you go crazy. 
You're not alone girl, I feel you. 

Having an addiction to makeup and wanting to spend less is a real struggle. Tiny beauty products are great especially when you want to experiment or try it for the first time without paying the full price, they are great for traveling or simply throw them at your mini purse as it doesn't take up much space and even if they're small  you can use them for a longer period of time too! Amazing, adorable, affordable -- yay!

Luxola Haul! Mario Badescu and Origins Skincare

I'm so excited to share with you my very first Luxola order! Yay!

When you're residing in Singapore, you're a makeup/skincare junkie, you're too lazy to go out for shopping because it's always crowded in the malls and most of all, you can't find some of the brands you've been wanting to try because they're only available in the US or European countries? What is Luxola? It is a Singapore-based online cosmetics and skincare store. Here, they have a variety of brand selections from drugstore to high end products. They are also accessible in other Southeast Asian countries like Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand.. oh, they do ship in India and UAE too!

I discovered this online store when I was in a hunt of a good skincare products and decided to try a new range. For quite some time, I've been eyeing these two brands - Origins and Mario Badescu, which I can't seem to find here in Singapore. So when I saw them in Luxola, I felt like a little kid in Disneyland, I was so excited!

GinZing Energy Boosting Set with 3 deluxe samples & Mario Badescu Skincare

The reason why I bought the set is because of that Origins GinZing moisturiser. I've seen a lot of great reviews and thought of giving it a try. I felt more excited when I saw that it was actually in a regular size of 50ml! Yay! The GinZing Energy Boosting set also includes Checks and Balances Frothy face wash and the Clear Improvement Active charcoal mask which I believe is in their travel size (30ml). When I made my purchases and about to check out, I found out that they're actually having a promotion that if you buy any Origins skincare, they will give you deluxe samples too! Yeah, just got lucky baby! ^_^

One of the skincare range that I've been wanting to try since my skin have been acting up lately was these Mario Badescu's skincare products. I've seen a lot of positive reviews about these trio and some of the YouTube beauty gurus are raving about these products too. My skin keeps breaking out for the past few weeks and it was like screaming at me telling me that I definitely need to purchase these! and so I did!

25 Facts About Me

So, after contemplating for about an hour or two.. I've finally decided to share a little facts about me as my very first post to my very first blog.. (wow!) so please bear with me po. haha! :D

1.  When I was a kid, we used to have a single door fridge and I'll put my toes in there when I'm about to sleep.

2.  My sister is my very best friend and my very worst enemy.

3.  I'm anaemic and asthmatic when I was younger. (lucky I'm all good now. Thank God!)

4.  I love writing. I used to write poems, stories and I have a diary from elementary to high school. In college, my life wasn't that interesting so I stopped. (3 facts here now)

5.  I believe in love at first sight. 

yes, it's me! lol

6.  When I met my husband, I knew I'm going to marry him. 

7.  I have one annoying sister and two self-proclaimed pogi brothers.

8.  When I'm happy, I can't stop talking.. and will not even say a word when I'm sad, but I'll still be needing someone to comfort me and talk to me.. (when I can't talk, weird.)

9.  Communication, for me, is the most vital part of a healthy relationship.

10.  Sarah McLachlan is my fave.

11.  I don't mind being alone, I can even talk to myself sometimes.

12.  I may look normal on the outside but I can be quite strange in the inside.. just like a Ferrero chocolate. (what?!)
